Ask for Haydn

Who is Joseph Haydn? To Mozart he was a fatherly friend, and Beethoven was his most famous student. Today he is regarded as the greatest, most famous, and most eminent composer of his era.

To honor the 'Master of the Vienna Classic' and to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the International Haydn Days, the Austrian Cultural Forum hosts a group exhibition of contemporary art by international artists who have been specially invited to deal with the life and works of Joseph Haydn. The exhibtion highlights the works of worldwide celebrated artists - spanning from Christian Attersee, Berenice Darrer, Maria Bussmann, Larry Rivers, Franz Grabmayer, and many more.

As a moving and engaging memorialization to one of the most important composers in Austrian history 'Ask for Haydn' is an absolute 'must-see' for all Haydn fans.

Join us for the Exhibtion Opening on October 21, 7:30 pm. The opening will also feature a brief introduction by Prof. Dr. Walter Reicher, Artistic Director of the Haydn Festival Eisenstadt.
