In a single evening experience an era of Old World royalty, fairy tales, and 18th century European charm with a late night touch of 21st century European nightlife as we invite you to a very special evening on Austrian soil for a Viennese Ball and a late night Austrian nightlife celebration!
Don your best outfits and be transported to one of the most beautiful and admired countries in all of Europe as we bring together the glory of Old Austria with the allure of Modern Western Europe. From the music of Strauss and Mozart from a live symphony orchestra to a late-night European style DJ playing your favorite hits, this Austrian Ball has something for everyone.
This event is perfect for both couples and singles alike and we expect a sell out audience of young professionals to this grand event.
1) LIVE BALLROOM DANCING WITH THE SALON ORCHESTRA:
Waltz to the sounds of Strauss, Mozart, Lehar, Waldteufel, Stolz and others performed by an elegant twenty-piece presentation of this fameous renowned orchestra in a classic 18th century setting. In addition to waltzing, our orchestra will perform other ballroom dances for true enthusiasts. (8 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.)
2) VIENNESE MUSICAL AND DANCE PRESENTATION:
Taking center stage for a 20 minute presentation, dressed in pure Viennese style, we'll marvel at a fantastic waltz presentation set to the Blue Danube or the Emperor's Waltz by Strauss.
3) DANCE LESSON AND GRAND MARCH:
Local Ballroom Dance Masters (Carol Traxler and David Norton) will be on hand at the ball. They will lead you in the Grand March to the famous Radetzky March of Johann Strauss Sr. David and his partner will demonstrate a beautiful Viennese waltz. Carol Traxler will teach you the Fledermaus Quadrille (danced to traditional Viennese music by Johann Strauss Jr.) to emulate the Fledermaus Quadrille danced at the balls in Vienna.
3) AUSTRIAN NIGHTCLUB:
In the latter part of the evening, we will visit the greatest Austrian nightclubs as Washington, D.C.'s greatest D.J.s deliver us the best in retro, swing, salsa and top 40 dancing - European style!
4) AUSTRIAN BUFFET:
Experience the exquisite Austrian delicacies as found in some of the finest restaurants and cafes in all of Austria, including:

If you ever strolled through an Austrian marketplace and looked in the store windows you can't help but be tempted by those delectable desserts, and we'll have them for you to enjoy tonight as well: linzer tortes, hazelnut tortes, Viennese apple tarts, Austrian white and dark chocolate florentines, and bittersweet Austrian chocolate squares dusted with confectioner's sugar. Enjoy a late evening buffet of these tantalizing Austrian delights, all as if picked from the best pastry shops in Austria.
6) AUSTRIAN OPEN BAR:
Partake in a full evening of an open bar consisting of the of the finest wines and beers found in the best of the Austrian vineyards! Bar consists of Wine, Beer and Non alcoholic beverages.
7) AUSTRIAN MOVIE:
For your potential traveling and cultural interests, enjoy an optional viewing of the scenery, culture and people of Austria.
