Anna Freud at the Hotel Regina

As part of the event series "We should never forget" the Austrian Cultural Forum is pleased to present this play by Myron Robert Hafetz in remembrance of the 75th anniversary of Anna Freud’s emigration to the UK in 1938.

In July 1971 Anna Freud has come to Vienna for the International Psychoanalytic Association’s annual meeting which coincides with the dedication and opening of the Sigmund Freud Museum at Berggasse 19, Freud’s former home and office. Anna has not been to Vienna since June 1938. The action of the play concentrates mainly on Anna’s suite at the Hotel Regina except for two flashbacks. The play is directed by Gillian Drake.
