The Austrian Cultural Forum is pleased to bring you an evening of poetry and jazz music with unique performances by actor Felix Kurmayer and pianist Burnett Thompson.
In addition to having studied the performing arts in the United States and in Austria, Kurmayer has also worked as a speaker for many international organizations. Most recently he has stared in "Humus", a play by Michael Nehsl, and will soon be seen on "Rosenheim Cops" in late March of this year.
Thompson, however, was educated at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna, Austria, and the New England Conservatory of Music. Further studies included work with pianist William Masselos, and Jazz and Western theory with Steven Strunk. Over the years Burnett Tompson has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, such as the Washington Chamber Symphony, the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, and the National Chamber Orchestra.
