Marshall House Docents are dedicated to preserving the legacy of General George C. Marshall, one of the greatest Americans of the 20th century. Docents describe their experience as rewarding and one that motivates them to expand their knowledge of Marshall and to share that knowledge with other Docents and with visitors to the Marshall House.
Guenter Josef Bischof, Ph.D., Havard University 1989, is the leading director of "The Austrian Marshall Plan Center for European Studies at The University of New Orleans". He is a historian of international history with the focus on American and European diplomatic history of the 20th century. He is part of the panel – "The History of the Marshall Plan: Its Origins and Legacy" and will be talking in regard to “After All These Years: The Marshall Plan is Alive and Well in Austria”. Dr. Barry Machado, Washington & Lee (ret.), “New Light on the Origins of the Marshall Plan” and Nico Lange, Director, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung USA, “Adenauer, the Marshall Plan, and a Coordinated European Economy” will be also speaking on the panel.
