KIDS EURO FESTIVAL
A celebration of European arts and culture for kids with scores of free performances in and around Washington, DC.
This fall Washington, DC will host the Kids Euro Festival, one of the country’s largest performing arts festivals for children with more than 200 free events around the city. The month-long event will be geared to kids ages two through twelve and will feature artists in almost every performing genre, whose talents range from bubble-blowers to a virtual orchestra to storytelling to acrobats. Kids Euro Festival is staged through the cooperation of the 28 Washington-based European Union embassies and 30 major local cultural institutions.
This year's contribution from Austria is Martha Labil (www.marthalabil.com) with her performance of 'Martha in the Suitcase': Many stories feature suitcases and most of them are travel adventures... But this is a different story. Martha gets inside her own suitcase to tell you exciting new stories. Lots of thrilling things can be found in her suitcases and will make you laugh and marvel alike. Look forward to a peformance full of music, acrobatics and a lot of surprises.
