Fall Concert at the Austrian Embassy with music by Austrian Composers.

This Concert by the Washington Saengerbund, celebrating Austrian music, is a collaborative endeavor by the Austrian Cultural Forum , the American-Austrian Cultural Society, and the Washington Saengerbund. The Washington Sängerbund continues its long tradition of preserving Austrian and German Music and Culture in the Washington Metropolitan area with numerous concerts and musical performances during the year, often in conjunction with other groups. Its repertoire consists of music in the German language and rehearsals are held weekly on Monday evening.

The Choir will be conducted by Nicholas Alexander Brown who is a Honduran-American conductor, musicologist, arts administrator, French Horn player and baritone based in Washington, DC and Boston. He has served as music specialist/concert producer at the Library of Congress since May 2012, following positions in the Office of the President and Provost at Harvard University and an internship in the Office of the First Lady at The White House. He is the music director and founder of The Irving Fine Society, and serves as conductor of the Library of Congress Chorale as well as the Washington Sängerbund.

The Event is followed by an elegant reception including hors d'oeuvres, desserts, beer and wine, catered by Wilhelm Jonach, Master Chef of the Embassy of Austria.
