EUNIC Concert Series | Yumeto Suenaga
We are pleased to partner with the EUNIC Concert Series and American University to present French classical pianist, Yumeto Suenaga. Suenaga was born in Paris in 1981 to painters and is of French-Japanese origin. In 1994, at the Conques Summer Festival, he was noticed by the Japanese pianist Akiko Ebi. Ebi strongly encouraged Suenaga to continue playing. Between 1995 and 2001, Suenaga studied at the Paris Conservatoire with Olivier Gardon, Billy Eidi, and he enriched his musical knowledge by attending courses from Marcel Bitsch and writing classes from Dominic Rossi. After winning two awards, he joined the Conservatory as a 'Department Soloist'. He subsequently received instruction from Nadine Wright between 2004 and 2007, and he studied with Eugen Indjic at the Schola Cantorum in Paris. He obtained the highest distinctions, diplomas in 'virtuosity' and 'concert pianist' with a 'very good' rating from a unanimous jury.
