Festival Film | Neu: November 3 - 6, 2016

The festival Film | Neu is Washingtons leading German-language film event which presents the newest trends and movies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This year for the first time, the category New Short Films shows awarded, new short films from the three German-speaking countries.

Austria's Contribution | New Short Films & Film Screening: Chucks
November 5, 2016 | 2:00 pm (New Short Films) & 8:45 pm (Chucks)

The ACFDC contributes with a selection of diverse short movies in the category New Short Films. These include the films "Domino" (Anna Vasof), "Babash" (Lisa Truttmann and Behrouz Rae), "Triste Déserts -  A Robot's Tale" (Stephanie Winter) and "Uncanny Valley" (Paul Wenninger). In addition to the new short films, the film "Chucks" is screened. The movie is based on the successful novel by Cornelia Travnicek and takes place on the streets of Vienna.

A reception with Austrian treats takes place at Landmark’s E Street Cinema before the 8:45 pm screening of "Chucks".
