International Club DC Dance Lessons
March 3, 2016 | 7:00 pm

In preparation for the Viennese Ball hosted by the Austrian Embassy the International Club of DC will help you master the Viennese Waltz. The lesson will be taught on a wooden dance floor at the Austrian Embassy by Herb and Carol Traxler.

The Austrian couple have taught the Viennese waltz to hundreds of enthusiastic dancers in the Washington, DC, area -- at the White House, Smithsonian, and other venues around town. Their Viennese waltz lessons include the Viennese waltz (Linkswalzer, Rechtswalzer, hesitation step), posture, dance etiquette, and the Handkuss (hand kiss), as well as an introduction to the Viennese balls and to the Viennese waltz music of the Strauss dynasty.

The Traxlers will be glad to answer your questions about the Viennese waltz as well as the upcoming Viennese Ball.

During the lessons Austrian wine (served to guests 21+) and other drinks will be available for purchase at the cash bar.
