We welcome pianist Mitra Kotte for a concert at the Austrian Cultural Forum Washington DC.
In her recital, Mitra Kotte presents female composers of the 19th and 20th Century and their works. Women composers have faced many obstacles in their professional careers. Despite the difficulties, however, they have created outstanding pieces of music that continue to touch audiences today. The selection of works provides a historical overview of women’s compositions in Western classical music and highlights the diversity of their compositional styles and musical ideas.
